2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies may help a site remember preferences, maintain a secure session, keep forms working, remember language choices, prevent fraud, measure performance, understand how pages are used, attribute enquiries to marketing campaigns, provide embedded content, and personalise advertising where permitted. 5. Cookie categories
Strictly necessary. Essential for the website or a requested service. Support security, spam and fraud prevention, form submission, session management, load balancing, cookie-consent storage, requested language selection, payment or checkout security, authentication, multi-step form saving, and duplicate-submission prevention. These cannot normally be disabled through the preference centre because the site may not work without them.

14. Embedded video, maps, chat and scheduling
Embedded video, maps, chat (including WhatsApp/Telegram launchers), scheduling and video-meeting providers may set their own cookies once loaded. Where consent is required these embeds remain blocked until you choose to load them or accept the relevant category.
